How To Turn Your Website Into An Online Lead Generation System

If you are sick and tired of wasting time cold calling and speaking with dead-end prospects, there is good news: You can get a steady source of brand new, qualified prospects from your website. However, it won't just happen all by itself, you need to know how.

Firstly, people need a reason to visit your site. This is the top of your sales funnel: getting people to your website. You can do this by giving them news, useful resources or special offers.

When visitors find your site, you need a way to capture their details, qualify them and give them a reason to contact you. This you do by giving away something for free: It could be a free report with very useful information, or it can be a free video or webinar with training in your niche. It needs to be something that promises them something they need or desire and show how you will fulfil that need or desire. It should give them more information, just enough to know they need you.

The first thing you need to do is set your marketing goals. This can be a problem for you, so here are some questions to get you started:

Which target markets am I going to focus on? How many leads do I want per day? What is my marketing budget and what am I going to spend it on? What return do I want on my investment Can I continuously come up with great content? What are my clients' biggest needs and desires? Do I have the time and resources to put into this marketing method? Which marketing tasks am I doing myself, and which am I outsourcing? How do I measure my success?

Once you have the answers to these questions, you have a place to start from.

The next step is to work on your free offers. The first one you need is for the top of your funnel; getting the visitors to come to your site. Here you have to create a call to action. The draw card will be the content on your website, and you should have content that your prospects will find interesting and should focus on them and what they want.

The offer for the middle of your funnel needs to fulfil your clients' need and desires as well as give them a better understanding of what you can offer and what you're all about. The goal of the middle of your funnel offer is to gain trust, to show that you can deliver on your promises, and to show your products or services without a hard sell.

The bottom of your funnel offers can be about your product or service, and getting your customer to commit to a sale. Here you can use your auto-responder to stay in touch with them via email. You can have an article about your product or service followed by a testimonial.

To get this sorted you can get ideas from your competition.

The next step is to make sure you have a landing page with a clear call to action for your offer. If you have more than one target market you should have more than one offer and a landing page for each offer. On your landing page, you should give your offer with such a compelling headline that it is hard to resist, and give your prospect a place to sign up and get your offer. This offer and sign-up box will be to the side if you have a blog.

The last step is to manage your leads. There are many auto-responders available, but I find AWeber to be the best.

Once you have your lead generation system set up, you need to drive traffic to it. You can do this through your social media and bookmarking sites. You also need to write content to your blog daily and post articles to article directories. You can get a good article submission service to post these for you.

If you make sure you cover all these steps, your Online Lead Generation System should be bringing you leads in no time, especially if you are active in posting to the major social media sites.
